Christmas Festivities and Activities!

The frosty mornings and low temperatures can only mean one thing – it’s Winter; and with that brings days full of festivity (and stress!) with the lead up to Christmas. As Christmas can be an expensive time of year – why not try creating some of your presents rather than buying them?

Christmas SnowmenMelted Snowmen Oreo Balls look delicious – however, you may think twice about eating them once you see their faces! Though – if it was myself making these Snowmen I’m not too sure how many would have hats on by the end! We think this is a great idea to make with the kids and take to family Christmas parties.

Fudge. I have not met a single person who does not like fudge. The smooth texture, the creamy taste – it’s a winner all round! So why not try making some festive fudge? Here we have found a recipe for Eggnog Fudge.

Maybe Arts and Crafts look a bit more enticing than baking. If so, why not try out these Penguin Footprints? Or try alternative such as Reindeer’s, Elves, Snowmen or even Father Christmas himself! All it takes is a little imagination and a foot.

Toilet Rolls. (or cut down Kitchen roll tubes) It’s not really a topic many people talk about – but toilet rolls or their equivalents are a number one tool for arts and crafts! There are so many designs and characters you can create out of a single tube. We’ve been having a look at the festive ones and these are our favourites. Reindeer – a simple, quick and cheap activity. OlChristmas Olafaf – takes a little bit more time than the Reindeer’s but he looks just as good if not better! Hint: In future save up those tubes for festive occasions such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

Some of us like the traditional Christmas Tree on our Christmas cards. So why not make a batch of these (you’ll have to scroll down all the way to find the Christmas cards) with the kids and send them out to all the family. They’re quick, easy and cheap to create and the final product looks very smart and professional.

We are sure you will have a great (probably messy!) time trying out some of these ideas and that they will definitely get you in the festive mood!

Merry Christmas!
