As it is ADHD Awareness month, we thought it was only fair to offer a specially designed (and priced!) course at the end of the month! This ADHD Awareness course will enable practitioners to gain a greater understanding of how to work with children who exhibit the traits of ADHD.
Studley, nr Redditch,
Date: Thu, 27th Oct 6:30 pm-8:00 pm – Space(s) available 20
ADHD can be a challenging condition to deal with in a nursery setting, both for the child themselves and the practitioners involved. A better understanding of the difficulties that a child with ADHD faces in their daily life is vital in being able to support them and to help them develop.
This course will enable practitioners to gain a greater understanding of ADHD and working with children who show traits of the condition. It will also provides a background to enable identification of children who are showing some or all of the traits of autism so they can also be supported.
This ADHD Awareness Course will enable staff:
- Understanding what ADHD is.
- Being able to recognise the traits of ADHD in young children.
- Understand how to support children with ADHD.
- Raise awareness of ADHD in your setting to create an inclusive environment.
This training course takes content from our Autism and ADHD Awareness course and tailors it to specifically address the challenges of working with children with ADHD. The course therefore has a duration of one and a half hours and overlaps with the content of this course. If you have previously attended the Autism only course there will only be a small overlap of content.
