The importance of practitioners understanding the principles of team working is often overlooked by some providers. This course is designed to give an insight into why teams can be effective and provide individuals with an understanding of the roles they can play with a team and looks also at how to motivate others.
- To be able to define what a team is and explain how it forms
- To know what makes a team more effective
- To know their own team role and how it can support team working
- To be able to identify what factors motivate people
- To be able to apply learning to everyday practice in the workplace
This Building & Motivating Teams Training course is aimed at practitioners who are stepping up into a room supervisory or management role. It will help them understand that their job will be much more effective if they can achieve the co-operation of the people around them in a team spirit. This course forms part of the Leadership & Management Programme designed to support those newly into a role involving more responsibility. However it can be undertaken as a stand alone course as well.
The Leadership & Management Programme consists of 4 courses, Building and Motivating Teams, What is a Leader, Effective Communication and Managing Difficult People.
