Leadership and Management – Effective Communication

This Effective Communication Training course is aimed at practitioners who are stepping up into a room supervisory or management role. It will help them understand that their job will be much more effective if they can achieve the co-operation of the people around them in a team spirit. This course forms part of the Leadership & Management Programme designed to support those newly into a role involving more responsibility. However it can be undertaken as a stand alone course as well.
To new Supervisors and Managers ineffective communication can be a barrier to the satisfactory development of the setting and staff.
This short Practical Leadership and Management Training Course course in Early Years Effective Communication will allow those new to a supervisory role to:
- Understand the importance of effective communication, both verbal and non verbal
- To understand the difference between assertive and aggressive behaviours
- To develop their listening skills and ability to “read” people’s non verbal cues
- To understand how and when to delegate.
The Leadership & Management Programme consists of 4 courses, Building and Motivating Teams, What is a Leader, Effective Communication and Managing Difficult People.
