Up-to-date, Cost Effective, Introduction to Safeguarding Training
Date: Thu, 26th Feb 6:30 pm-8:30 pm – Space(s) available 7
Safeguarding is an integral part of every Early Years Practitioners job role and it is essential to keep updated and informed of the signs of abuse and how to report suspected abuse. As the EYFS (2014 states “Providers must be alert to any issues for concern in the child’s life at home or elsewhere.” Safeguarding awareness forms a key part of every Ofsted inspection. Having up-to-date knowledge will enable Practitioners to be confident in the process to protect everyone in the settings and deal with questions at Inspection time.
This short Safeguarding Training Course will enable Practitioners:
To understand the Legal requirements
To recognise the signs of abuse and respond appropriately
To understand how to respond to disclosures
To understand the reporting procedures
This training Course is aimed at new employees who need an Introduction to Safeguarding either as part of their Induction or once they have started work. It will ensure that they have a good understanding of the process of safeguarding and are aware of who to contact with safeguarding concerns. It will also act as an update for all employees whose safeguarding knowledge has not been updated recently.
