Observe, Assess & Plan for Children’s Progress Course
Date: Tue, 26th May 10:00 am-12:00 pm – Space(s) available 16
Observing children and planning around their individual needs is an essential part of the EYFS and crucial to your Ofsted rating. Practitioners need to be aware of the characteristics of effective learning and understand how these relate to supporting children’s progress in their learning and development. They need to know and understand when and what should be observed and how this links into planning for children’s next steps. Thereby ensuring children’s needs are kept at the heart of their practice
This popular short Observe, Assess & Plan for Children course will enable early years Practitioners:
- To identify what information is useful to record when observing a child
- To analyse observations within areas of learning and characteristics of effective learning
- To be able to evaluate what you observed in order to create opportunities for children within your planning
- To write learning stories and link observations into children’s learning journeys
This Observe, Assess & Plan for Children course is aimed at practitioners new and experienced in order to support their being able to meet the high expectations placed on us by Ofsted and to ensure they are observing for a purpose, valuing children’s all round learning and in a way that supports school readiness for children.
