TapestryA practical course in Observing with Technology (e.g. Tapestry) course aimed at practitioners both new and experienced

Studley, nr Redditch, Date: Wed, 31st Aug 6:30 pm-8:30 pm – Space(s) available 20

Observing children and planning around their individual needs is an essential part of the EYFS and crucial to your Ofsted rating. Practitioners need to be aware of the characteristics of effective learning and understand how these relate to observing children’s progress in their learning and development. They need to know and understand when and what should be observed and importantly what should be assessed.  If you are using an electronic recording system such as Tapestry to track your observations then you need to make sure you are using it to its full potential to track the children and inform next steps.

This Observing with systems such as Tapestry course will enable you:

  • To identify what information is useful to record when observing a child.
  • To use systems such as Tapestry to assess within the different areas of learning and characteristics of effective learning.
  • To be able to evaluate what you observed in order to write meaningful Next Steps and make informed plans.
  • Getting the most out of Digital Observing and Recording.

This Observing with Technology (e.g. Tapestry) course is aimed at practitioners new and experienced in order to support their being able to meet the high expectations placed on us by Ofsted and to ensure they are observing for a purpose and in a way that supports school readiness for children.
