Ofsted Ready: Out of School Clubs
Date: Tue, 12th May 10:00 am-12:00 pm – Space(s) available 3
This course is aimed at all practitioners working or leading practice in an Out of School Club provision. This will include stand-alone clubs or ones within a childcare setting. The EYFS 2014 changes have created some confusion as to what the requirements are now – this course will explain and explore all these issues.
Our unique course for those leading and working in Out of School Clubs will examine all aspects of delivering care, play and learning, as required under the EYFS 2014 and the Childcare Register, within settings. We will look at all aspects that affect practitioners working within a club including regulations, planning and behaviour management. We will also examine how we can deliver an Outstanding service both for parents and Ofsted.
During the course you will learn:
- To understand the requirements for Out of School Clubs within the 2014 EYFS Framework
- To identify how to link our Playwork Principles & ethos with the framework
- To ascertain ways to plan and record learning for EYFS children
- To identify behaviour management strategies for Out of School Clubs
