In an Early Years environment we believe that the most valuable resource we have is each other; after all, who wants to be limited by their own imagination?
Studley, nr Redditch, Date: Tue, 31st Jan 6:30 pm-8:30 pm – Space(s) available 20
Is your nursery environment getting a bit repetitive? Are you trying to move forward with you professional development but you don’t really know where to go? Does the thought of having someone look at your practice fill your with dread?
If you can answer ‘Yes’ to any of those questions, then this course would be perfect for you or your staff. It aims to support staff in identifying their strengths and then creating an environment where these strengths can be shared and cultivated. An environment where staff feel confident in their abilities and can support people around them. Finally, it aims to give staff the confidence to achieve their best during an inspection.
Peer observation in Early Years really could be that effective, here is the content we will cover during the course:
- Supporting staff in reflection on their own practice
- Getting the most out of observing and being observed
- Helping staff feel confident when they are being observed
- Preparing staff for an observation by an Ofsted inspector
Peer Observation and Nursery Managers
We advise that this Peer Observation course would be most effective if managers of the setting attend Effective Supervisions and Peer Observations. It will support managers to identify the strengths and weaknesses within their staff team and support creating an environment in which Peer Observations will be most effective.
