We’re already past the half way mark for the year – and it just seems to be going quicker! July is now upon us which means the kids finish school, the weather gets better (we hope!) and there’s more time for creativity!
Between 4th and 10th July is Health Information Week for the West Midlands; more information can be found here. Get the children involved by doing some Garden Vegetable Painting or practise Brushing their Teeth movements. Make sure to talk to parents too – get them in the know of their Health.
Disability Awareness Day is 10th July which finishes Health Information week nicely. More information about ‘DAD’ can be found on their website. It’s an ideal time to get the children to understand the needs of others and to value similarities and differences.
This year we celebrate Beatrix Potter’s 150th Anniversary! You can visit Peter Rabbit for history, books and games. There’s also lots of resources for birthdays and teachers on there. Whilst looking through, get the kids to try these Lettuce Wrap ideas which are inspired from ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’.
Taking a sneak preview at next month there is World Wide Web Day on the 1st and National Sisters Day on the 2nd. I’m sure there are lots of activities you could organise for the children surrounding these days, such as creating their own toys!
