And the Results are in…
Things are staring to get a bit quieter as the year comes to a close, but we still have all the latest news for you in our blog as usual.
This month we have seen the arrival of the latest EYFSP data (all good news with improvements across the board – well done to all!) and a whole host of not-really-that-good news alongside the results of the 30 hours consultation. We did get a tiny win when courts decided that the DfE must release the Childcare Costs data.
Missed last month’s insights? Click here to catch up with our news roundup, including a rather comprehensive list of happenings, as well as the usual ideas and inspirations.
Zoe just keeps finding more and more events each month and November and December are packed full of them. (I am informed that December is going to be ‘a bit special’)
This month we have Road Safety Week (it’s never too early to start learning about that!) and St. Andrews Day. You can find all this and more on Zoe’s blog.
Observing each other
Do you see outstanding practice in your setting? Do you tell the staff involved how well they are doing? Hopefully, you answered ‘Yes!’ to those questions, but how about this one:
Do you have other staff observe this outstanding practice?
If you’re not doing this then you should be – Peer Observation is a fantastic tool for developing your staff. In fact, we think it’s so important, we developed a new course about it.
We just want everyone to know that the most valuable resource we have is each other!
