Jo Lynton, ATLS, A1 Assessor, NNEB
Early Years Trainer
Jo Lynton is an Early Years Trainer with a broad based childcare career spanning 40 years, during this time she has worked across all areas of childcare, from Special Care Baby Unit, Day Nurseries, Schools, Nannying and supporting children with Special Educational Needs. She holds the NNEB qualification the Assessor Award in Childcare and Education, NVQ L4 AND 5 in Management , PTLLS Award and the CTLLS to support her Training in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
Jo Lynton has worked her way through Early Years practice from Student to Manager, setting up to brand new purpose built nurseries and creches and also opening her own nursery. She then went on to be an Area Manager for one of the largest chains of childcare in the UK, covering several sites in London and the South West. Jo’s experience in Early Years means she fully understands the “trials and tribulations” of every day practice, which means that, when training she is fully aware of the barriers that can arise and is confident in finding ways around these to help practitioners improve their practice and provide excellent learning experiences for children.
Throughout her career Jo has continuously updated her knowledge by attending many training courses over the years to ensure that when training the information she gives is always relevant and up to date with the ever changing requirements of the EYFS, and she is now keen to pass on this knowledge to others. Jo enjoys going into settings and seeing all the wonderful work that practitioners currently do, and finds delivering training and facilitating workshops to practitioners very satisfying and most importantly is able to ensure that everyone can enjoy sharing ideas and work to improving quality of the Early Years for all the children that attend childcare settings.
