More from Ofsted – Had your email yet?

OfstedYes, more from Ofsted today. Have you had your email yet? I’ve received one but they say to expect one per setting – so four more on the way for me. Apparently we have to re-complete the registration details for our settings due to the changes in the Small Business, Enterprise & Employment Act 2015. I’m so glad I don’t have more than 5 settings as there is only 2 weeks in which to complete these, from when you receive yours. If you got one today then, I hope you are not going on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks – you’ll miss the deadline!

So here I am, a rare day when I leave work before 6pm, thinking I had everything covered for a weekend without work and then at 5.33pm the email arrives from Ofsted. If you are like me, as many owners are, when something arrives on your desk you want to get it completed, especially when it relates to legislation or Ofsted. So that’s taken care of my few days off next week. Something to do on the airplane maybe – yes I am going away – luckily not for 2 weeks though so I will get this back on time, just not straight away!

I appreciate they have to make sure everything is correct on the Registration side but sending emails out late on a Friday afternoon seems a bit keen to me!

Not had an email yet? Here’s a copy of the letter and the excel sheet to complete – but wait until you get yours as there are further instructions in the email –  don’t just complete this one!

THERE IS SPECULATION THESE EMAILS ARE NOT GENUINE – I HAVE CONTACTED GILL JONES WHO HAS CONFIRMED THEY ARE GENUINE
